Brett Sorensen

SVP/Twin Cities Commercial Banking Manager

In my position, I’m responsible for guiding the continued growth of Bell’s commercial lending relationships in the Twin Cities metro area. I also work with our team to help connect our commercial clients with the range of financial services Bell offers.

I grew up in Eden Prairie and earned my bachelor’s degree in finance from Indiana University and an MBA in strategic management and entrepreneurship from the Carlson School of Management at the U of M. I spent the first 13 years of my career in banking, including positions at Wells Fargo, Marshall Group/Bankfirst, and most recently U.S. Bank. I worked in areas including special assets and investment banking, private banking and commercial banking.

Immediately prior to joining Bell, I served as general manager for Rapid Packaging in Champlin, then was named chief strategy officer and chief financial officer. So I’ve sat in the room with business owners and executives, and helped navigate the waters of markets and risk. That’s the business perspective I bring to Bell.

My wife, Jessie, and I live in northeast Minneapolis and keep busy with our 2 young sons.
