Joe Pope, CPA, CFA®

SVP/Client Portfolio Manager

As a client portfolio manager, Joe continually learns from the ever-changing investment markets, working collaboratively with clients to develop strategic approaches to work toward their goals. Since 2002, Joe has been serving insurance companies, foundations, banks and other similar corporate entities in investment management, accounting and finance roles.

His responsibilities at Bell Institutional Investment Management (BIIM) include managing client portfolios and reporting as well as conducting research on fixed-income and equity investments. He also evaluates and implements various investment strategies, including fixed-income trade execution.

Joe is driven by the ability to positively impact his clients by getting to know them, understanding their financial goals and developing lasting relationships. He understands each client's circumstances are unique and should be treated that way. Joe brings a team approach to investment management – capitalizing on each team member’s strengths to collaboratively develop and execute investment strategies for clients.

Joe holds his bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in Winona and has earned the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. He also serves on the BIIM Investment Committee, which is responsible for directing the overall investing philosophy and activities of BIIM.

When he’s not working, Joe loves spending time with his wife, 2 sons, and other family and friends. To unwind, he heads for the outdoors – running, biking, fishing or wakeboarding. You’ll also find Joe spending plenty of time at the hockey rink and baseball diamond coaching his boys' teams.
