Lloyd Nelson

SVP/Twin Cities Private Banking Manager

I enjoy working at Bell Bank because of our commitment to quality customer service, as well as the high morale and integrity of my colleagues here. Our company brings a “can do” attitude to working with clients.

In addition to managing our private banking team in the Twin Cities, I’m responsible for building banking relationships with my clients, who are often affluent people with complex finances. If they also need services such as commercial loans for their business, I connect them with the right experts to get what they need. That also may include services related to securities lending, insurance-related lending or home mortgages.

Bell brings creativity and resourcefulness to our clients need. I love to see how they appreciate our full-service banking and how we meet and exceed their expectations.

I’m originally from Creighton, Nebraska, and earned my accounting degree from Southwest Minnesota State University, as well as my CPA. Prior to joining Bell, I was a managing director for U.S. Bank’s private banking department. I also worked previously as head of Minnesota banking for Northern Trust and as an executive director with JP Morgan.

Outside of work, I volunteer weekly at the Hennepin County Corrections Work House and as a member of our church council. My wife, Cecile, and I live in the Golden Valley/Robbinsdale area of the Twin Cities and have a daughter. I also enjoy golfing, gardening and dog training.
