McShane, Lindgren Promoted to Lead Community Banking

We’re excited to announce that Bell Bank has promoted our Twin Ports market president, Tim McShane, and our Twin Cities north metro banking president, Chad Lindgren, for key regional leadership roles in community banking! Tim is Bell Bank’s new community banking director and Chad is community banking manager for our East Region market including the Minnesota communities of Forest Lake, Maple Grove, White Bear Lake, Woodbury, Stillwater and Duluth.

Community banking is a integral part of Bell Bank’s foundation and focuses on bringing our customers a full range of financial services from local bankers who are highly involved in their communities. In his new role, Tim will focus on setting strategies for growth, guiding Bell’s community banking leaders, recruiting, managing sales and pipelines, and monitoring company performance in community banking. Chad will lead a community banking team, approve credits and work closely with Tim in recruitment, sales and strategy.

Erin Procko, Bell’s Twin Cities banking director and president, commends Tim for his talents in business development, brand-building, creative marketing initiatives and community involvement.

“We want Tim to help us replicate much of what he has done in our other communities,” Erin says, adding that Chad is “someone who understands how to manage credit risk while focusing on growth at the same time – a very valuable trait.”

Tim earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Minnesota – Duluth and went on to graduate from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking and leadership program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. He has spent 20 years in the banking field and was with Republic Bank in Duluth prior to joining Bell in 2019. He will continue to office in Duluth while spending additional time in the Twin Cities.

Originally from Lindstrom, Minn., Chad studied at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. He started his banking career in 1997 and has been a banker in the Forest Lake area since 2002. He joined Bell in 2018 as president of the company’s north metro locations including Forest Lake, where he will continue to office.
