The Rack is a place at North High School in Minneapolis where students who do not have basic necessities can come to get personal hygiene products and clothing. What started out as something so simple has grown beyond that. Students donate to the store for their fellow students. The store has a welcoming atmosphere, where kids can get clothes for a job interview or even items so they can go to prom. Jim McMerty, a Minneapolis businessman, was so inspired by the Pay It Forward: Community Connect program that not only did he chose this organization, but he also matched the funds.
