Bell Bank Employees Ring It Forward
Every year Bell employees staff the Salvation Army kettles for one day during the bell-ringing fundraising campaign. This year, more than 200 volunteers took shifts ringing the bells at nearly 30 local retailers to raise money for the wide range of physical, emotional and spiritual help the Fargo Salvation Army provides Cass and Clay County residents.
The Salvation Army helps people with things like basic needs, housing, youth services, rehabilitation, disaster relief and counseling. Salvation Army officers also lead worship services on Sundays.
The bell ringing season starts each November and runs through Christmas Eve. The volunteer-staffed red Salvation Army kettles typically raise about $30 per hour. It’s a major fundraiser for the organization, which set a goal of raising $900,000 this year.
