Over the summer, Paul Shol spent 55 days riding his bicycle 3,900 miles from Oregon to Maine to raise money for the Legacy Children’s Foundation, a nonprofit organization developed by Fargo teenagers in 2011 to encourage teens to finish high school.
Steve Swanson, vice president and Bell Investments financial advisor, has known Paul for a while and decided to donate some of his Pay It Forward funds to Paul’s Legacy Tour, which raised more than $50,000 for the Legacy Children’s Foundation.
“If you want to make a difference, you can find a way to do it,” Paul said. “Everybody can.”
He also raised $16,000 to buy copies of the book, Jesus Calling, to give out along his journey.
