River Keepers of Fargo-Moorhead Reforest the Red project
River Keepers of Fargo-Moorhead, an organization that advocates for sustainable use of the Red River in the Fargo-Moorhead area, needed volunteers to dig holes, plant trees and shrubs, mulch and water the new plants along the Red River in Moorhead June 2.
More than 30 Bell employees braved 90-degree heat to plant trees and shrubs along the river. The reforesting project helps improve water and air quality, increases riverbank stability and provides wildlife habitat. River Keepers says trees also help filter chemical pollutants, like excess fertilizers.
