
About Jesse
As chief risk officer, Jesse Schwab provides enterprise leadership for Bell’s financial and non-financial risk management, ensuring the bank’s risk framework supports strategic priorities and long-term growth. He oversees core functions where governance, accountability and sound judgment are essential, while reinforcing a strong risk culture and alignment with the institution’s risk appetite. Jesse leads the bank’s enterprise risk management framework, provides independent oversight to executive management and the board, helps inform key risk and strategic decisions, and serves as Bell’s primary liaison with federal and state regulators.
Before joining Bell in 2020, Jesse served in senior leadership roles as chief compliance officer and director of regulatory affairs at a midsize regional bank. He also practiced law in private practice, advising clients on consumer protection and bankruptcy matters.
Originally from Bismarck, N.D., Jesse earned a degree in political science from the University of North Dakota and his juris doctorate from California Western School of Law in San Diego. He serves on the board of directors for Simpson Housing Services.
Jesse and his wife, Wendy, live in Eden Prairie, Minn., and have one child.
