Tim Nesvig
SVP/Commercial Banker
Working with small to large businesses throughout the Twin Cities metro area, I look for creative ways to provide them the working capital they need.
Although I consider myself a lending generalist, I’ve spent a good portion of my banking career focusing on commercial and industrial companies. Among the types of businesses with which I’ve worked very closely are contractors, service-based industries, manufacturers, distributors and IT companies.
Contractors have been some of my largest customers over the years. That industry has a lot of nuance to it, so my experience has helped solve day-to-day problems.
Whatever the business, those relationships start with trust and communication. Those 2 qualities are the pillars to building a strong banking relationship and helping eliminate any surprises for either party. I believe Bell’s family atmosphere shows in the care our customers get from all areas of our bank.
I appreciate the entire commercial lending process – starting with relationship-building on the front end, and working on the credit analysis side to help create solutions to the unique problems that can pop up in various industries.
I’m originally from Gaylord, Minn., and earned my bachelor’s degree in finance from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter. I’ve worked in banking for more than 15 years – all in the Twin Cities metro – and held positions with Vermillion Bank and Anchor Bank (now Old National) prior to joining Bell.
I live in downtown Minneapolis and enjoy being a favorite uncle to 6 nephews and 3 nieces! Away from work, I enjoy heading to my cabin with family and friends. I also stay active by playing golf, attending local sporting events and trying the numerous restaurant options the Twin Cities have to offer.
