Automatic Billing Updater
Mastercard’s Automatic Billing Updater service (free with your Bell Bank Debit Mastercard®) does exactly what it sounds like. It automatically updates the card information you have on file with participating merchants, such as utility companies, video streaming services or your app store.If you have your card on file with merchants for automated payments or online shopping, those merchants will receive updates to your card information, so your payments won’t be disrupted.
Please note that merchants must opt in to participate with Mastercard, and they must check regularly to receive card updates before payments are due. So it’s probably still a good idea to contact merchants yourself if your debit card changes. (This service is currently available for cards reissued due to expiration date.)
