When Molly Carter, Bell State Bank & Trust employee, found out that eight-year-old Jane was starting treatments for leukemia, she knew that's where she wanted her Pay It Forward money to go.
Jane's battle ended just shy of her ninth birthday, but her mother, Jil, carries on her daughter's "princess warrior" legacy by raising money for the American Cancer Society through the Princess Warrior 5k in Jane's honor.
Jil, Molly and their friends wear princess attire and dance their way through the race, just as Jane would want them to do.
