We are proud to announce that Larry Fitzgerald Jr., longtime Arizona pro football player and a stalwart of local giving and volunteer efforts, has inked a partnership agreement with Bell Bank, becoming a Bell “Champion.” Larry is widely respected and recognized not only in Arizona sports, but also as a community leader and philanthropist. As a Bell Bank Champion, he will be featured in advertising and social media, host select customer meet-and-greet events, and connect with Bell in paying it forward through charitable work in the community.

“We’re excited that Larry has chosen to join our group of Champions,” says Michael Solberg, Bell Bank president and CEO. “He is someone who has truly used his talent and success as a vehicle to bless others. We’ve already been able to partner with him in the ‘Larry Fitzgerald Jr. Bell Bank Classic’ golf event, which benefits local charities. We’re excited about teaming up with Larry in other ways as we work together to make our community even better.”

Along with Latasha Causey, Bell Bank’s Arizona community development officer, Michael introduced Larry as a Bell Champion on Sunday during the Larry Fitzgerald Jr. Bell Bank Golf Classic, an event that raised over $100,000 for three Phoenix nonprofits.

A native of Minneapolis, Larry was a star wide receiver at the University of Pittsburgh and played for 17 seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, setting numerous franchise and NFL records.

Larry established The Larry Fitzgerald Foundation with a 2-part mission to focus on youth education and breast cancer awareness. The foundation promotes reading proficiency and technology access for K-12 youth, and breast cancer awareness by aiding in research, resources and support for women, men and families impacted by breast cancer.

“I’m very proud to partner with Bell Bank, because we share the same belief and passion for giving back to our communities,” Larry comments. “Through our partnership, we will be able to support many local organizations that truly impact people’s lives in a meaningful way.”

Larry joins other Bell Bank Champions including retired NFL player and commentator Ben Leber, NBA player Tyus Jones, pro sports broadcaster Marney Gellner, college basketball coaches Lindsay Whalen and Ben Johnson, sports radio personality and country singer Chris Hawkey, and professional golfers Tom Hoge and Amy Olson, as well as renowned chef Gavin Kaysen and actor Josh Duhamel.

Welcome to the Bell Champions team and the Bell family, Larry!
