Ben is also a college football broadcaster for FOX Sports and a Vikings sideline analyst for KFAN radio in Minneapolis. He’ll be active in social media linked with Bell, host select customer meet-and-greet events, and connect with Bell in paying it forward through his charitable work in the community.

“Ben Leber has been a leader on and off the field,” says Michael Solberg, Bell Bank president and CEO. “Better still, he is a leader in supporting local charitable efforts. We are proud to team up with Ben and look for ways to make our community an even better place to be.”

One of Ben’s first projects as a Bell Bank Champion is the “Ben Leber Bell Bank Challenge”  fundraiser to help patients and families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. It’s already underway, and Bell is matching donations dollar for dollar, up to $25,000. Ben will be promoting the challenge on the radio for 16 weeks.

Ben was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the 2002 NFL draft. He joined the Minnesota Vikings in 2006. In his 5 seasons with Minnesota, he was part of several top-ranked run defenses and played in the 2009 NFC Championship game. He was selected a player representative all 5 years and given the Korey Stringer Good Guy Award by local media.

Ben has been involved in numerous local charities including St. Jude and the “Taste of NFL” initiative for hunger relief.

“I couldn’t be more proud to partner up with Bell Bank,” Ben commented. “Their neighborhood- and people-driven approach aligns perfectly with what I stand for. I will do everything I can to uphold and promote their core values of family, service and giving back. Together we can continue to build a better community.”

We’re excited to have Ben on our team of Bell Bank Champions!
