Bell, Breweries Donate to Champs’ Charities

Julie Peterson Klein, EVP/chief culture officer at Bell; Mark Bjornson, co-owner at Drekker; Bell Champion Matt Cullen; Greg Hammes, chief legal officer (and chief beer officer!) at Bell; and Jesse Feigum, co-owner at Drekker

Bell Bank teamed up with Drekker Brewing in Fargo, N.D., and O.H.S.O. Brewery in Gilbert, Ariz., to present donations totaling more than $16,000 to selected nonprofits! Bell, Drekker and O.H.S.O. each donated $1 for every pint sold of “Pay It Forward” beers.

For Bell’s most recent version of the annual “Pay It Forward Brewing Collection” (an annual tradition), we featured 3 of our Bell Champions, ambassadors for Bell who also partner with us to pay it forward.

Bell and Drekker created 2 new brews: Hall of Fame Helles lager honoring pro hockey star Matt Cullen, and Play-by-Play IPA honoring award-winning sportscaster Marney Gellner. And in Arizona, Bell and O.H.S.O. brewed up Slice & Dice rice beer and Yes Chef! amber lager, both honoring Chef Mark Tarbell.

Recently, we presented checks for Cullen’s chosen charity, the Cullen Children’s Foundation, and for Gellner’s selected nonprofit, vraniCURE. We also presented a check to representatives of C-CAP, chosen by Chef Tarbell for its work with students seeking culinary and hospitality careers. If you sampled one of the Pay It Forward brews to support this effort, thank you! And of course, CHEERS to our Bell Champions for their support of nonprofits and their work in the community!
