Peters Hired in Commercial Real Estate Lending

Damon Peters has been hired as SVP/commercial real estate manager for Bell Bank in the Twin Cities. He  offices at Bell Plaza in Bloomington.

With more than 30 years of experience in banking and finance, Damon will help lead Bell’s continued expansion of commercial real estate lending in the Twin Cities Region, guiding our team in finding lending solutions for clients’ real estate projects.

“Having gone through a number of mergers and acquisitions in the Twin Cities market, I’m happy to be at a bank that’s not for sale,” Damon notes. “Bell’s culture and entrepreneurial approach allows our team to come up with creative solutions that fit the customer’s goals, rather than preset parameters.” 

Erin Procko, president and banking director of Bell Bank – Twin Cities, adds that Damon brings an impressive resume and experience to his role at Bell.

“Damon will be able to dive right in with our experienced and diverse team,” said Procko. “He is also working closely with Gabe Philibert, who previously led our CRE efforts and has now taken on a new business development role for Bell.”

Originally from Curwensville, Pa., Damon graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania before earning his Master’s in Business Administration MBA) degree from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business in Chicago. With more than 30 years of experience in banking and finance,  Damon has served in a variety of roles including as an auditor, analyst, commercial real estate banker, special assets manager, senior portfolio manager and sales manager. He began his banking career in 2005, spending many years with BMO Harris and most recently Huntington Bank (formerly TCF) prior to joining Bell Bank.
