Duhamel, who has appeared in All My Children, Las Vegas, four Transformers films, The Lost Husband and the recent release Think like a Dog, will be a brand ambassador for Bell, featured in the bank’s advertising and social media and partnering with Bell to pay it forward through his charitable work.
“Josh is a down-to-earth guy who’s proud of his roots in the Midwest,” says Michael Solberg, Bell Bank president and CEO. “Most importantly, his values and volunteerism match the giving spirit that is the core of our company. We’re excited to partner with him to continue to positively impact people’s lives.”
In mid-May, Duhamel joined professional golfers Amy Olson and Tom Hoge and three-time Stanley Cup winner Matt Cullen in Fargo, N.D., for the Play It Forward charity golf event presented by Bell Bank. The event raised more than $267,000 for local charitable organizations. Called one of “Hollywood’s humanitarians,” Duhamel has also been involved in fundraising and support for charities including the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish and Stand Up To Cancer.
“I learned the importance of giving back and volunteerism early on, from watching my mom,” comments Duhamel. “I was excited to be a part of the Play It Forward event with Bell and connect with their leaders. It was clear right away that Bell’s company values match up well with my roots and the impact I want to have on the community. I’m excited to team up with them and see where we can take the partnership.”
Duhamel lives in Los Angeles. Originally from Minot, N.D., Duhamel maintains family connections in North Dakota and Minnesota and has frequently appeared in commercials for North Dakota Tourism.
Duhamel joins other Bell Bank Champions including college coach Lindsay Whalen, NBA player and Apple Valley native Tyus Jones, retired NFL linebacker and sports commentator Ben Leber, NHL star Cullen, golfers Hoge and Olson, renowned chef Gavin Kaysen, and singer/songwriter Chris Hawkey.
